Creation Day!

I don't buy into the political agenda behind Earth Day, but that doesn't mean I can't celebrate and express gratitude for this beautiful created world we live in.  So instead of Earth Day, I have self-pronounced today as officially being Creation Day!  

I majored in Parks and Recreation at the University of Nebraska so have a keen interest in the environment, the wildlife, and the interaction of us humans with all that.  Add to that my work as a landscape and wildlife artist.  But beyond that, as human beings under the Creator God, we have been given the mission to be good stewards of our natural world.  After all, it is His world, not ours to exploit selfishly.

  The Lord merely spoke, 

and the heavens were created.

He breathed the word, 

and all the stars were born.

He assigned the seas its boundaries

and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.

Let the whole world fear the Lord,

and let everyone stand in awe of Him.

For when He spoke, the world began!

It appeared at His command.

The heavens proclaim the glory of God.

The skies display His craftsmanship.
